When Brian Laudrup signed for Ranger in the 90’s he asked us to transport his car over from Denmark. We happily provided the service on one of our Groupage trailers at the time. The staff in the office were delighted to meet both him and Mark Hately who drove him down to collect the motor from our Dumfries office.

Here at Currie Solutions transport and logistics we aim to go the extra mile for our customers.  2018 has seen one of the hottest summers to date and because of this, many businesses have had to adapt and overcome issues we never usually have to cope with on a long term basis in the UK.

Contracted trailers

Who wants melted chocolate?   This is why we have brought in refrigerated trailers dedicated to our MARS contract.   This allows our customer to get products across the country in perfect condition.

All of our contract logistic and contract transport clients receive a VIP treatment of a dedicated account manager with regular contact to make sure we can address any issues that may arise and try to provide solutions to rectify problems or accommodate new services to suit the changing climate or your changing business.

Our team can be contacted at enquiries@curriesolutions.com or on our contact us page

As one of the long standing, large businesses in Dumfries and Galloway are we aim to actively support our local community when we can. This area is a vibrant venue for gala days that allow people from all areas, ages and backgrounds to come together for a fun packed day of children’s activities, riding of the marches and fancy dress parades.

For a number of years our drivers have also freely offered their own time at weekends to support local groups by taking our trucks and trailers along to these events for youth groups, schools and other community groups to use for the parade.

We feel it is important to invest this time into our local communities that support us and it also allows our employees to utilise our equipment to support their own family, friends and neighbours. Our driver’s take great pride in their units and it is great for them to be able to showcase their hard work in our area.

So far this year we have been involved with Guid Nychburris, Annan Gala and the Youth Beatz event in the Dumfries and Galloway area.

Community involvement not only allows us to build relationships within the local area, it gives our employees the opportunity to take ownership of their equipment and get involved with volunteer roles in the their local community.

If you would like to be part of our team, please contact jobs@curriesolutions.com and for all other enquiries please visit our Contact Us page.

10 New Mercedes were added to our fleet this week. We continuously invest in our fleet to make sure that we have modern and reliable units working for our customers. The new Mercedes were all wrapped in our new livery and hit the road this week.

All our trucks and trailers are fitted with the latest Masternaut technology so we can track your freight accurately. We can also monitor environmental factors such as driving style, speed and fuel efficiency.

Armed Forces Day and Reserves Day both land this week!   We are fortunate enough to have a few ex-servicemen and reserves as part of our team, such as Daniel Donald.

Military Territorial Army and Lorry Driver

Daniel completed his HGV training through the army which has secured him work within the transport industry.  He has worked with us since 2014 and he is managing to balance his civilian life and military career with us:

“Currie’s have been the best company to work for in regards to getting away for army training or jobs I have been called for.”

Thanks Daniel, we are happy to have you as part of our team!   Feel free to contact jobs@curriesolutions.com for any information on possible vacancies.

We were delighted to support the Dumfries Rotary Club with their Storybox project.

5 separate stories and boxes have been made by college students, RotaKids, parents, friends  and members of the club to support child literacy in two schools in Kenya and Sri Lanka.

The group worked together to create the stories before Solway Print helped produce their masterpiece and we helped transport the items to their destination!

Well done to everyone involved.
